Scarabei 

Following its recent debut during Milan Design Week 2025, Giopato & Coombes Studio brought Scarabei to New York for NYCxDesign. Scarabei site-specific installation explores the metamorphosis of matter through light.

Inspired by natural processes, Scarabei is born from an idea of organic propagation, where repetition and freedom coexist, and uniqueness merges with diversity. The luminous bodies expand like living elements, creating a shifting landscape that echoes the dynamism of nature. An experience that invites us to see light from a new perspective, revealing its power to bring matter to life and transform space.
