Sales Area Manager Italy & Mediterranean

Who We’re Looking For

Your role

In synergy with internal functions, this role will be responsible for business development and brand presence consolidation, through client retention and the pursuit of new business opportunities across the Italian and Mediterranean markets (Spain, Portugal, Greece, the Balkan area, Malta, Cyprus). All activities must align with the company’s vision and meet sales targets in the assigned regions. The role requires a sensitivity to the language of design and light, a strong strategic mindset, and the ability to build lasting relationships with showrooms, architectural firms, interior designers, and selected commercial partners.

What You'll Do

Key Responsibilities

  • Implement commercial policies and draft agreements with key clients and/or distributors, monitoring their performance. 
  • Develop new business opportunities by promoting brand culture and engaging qualified clients and distributors through monitoring, communication, and targeted visits.
  • Coordinate and support distribution partners and local representatives, ensuring consistency in commercial approach and brand storytelling.
  • Directly manage relationships with clients (showrooms, architects, studios), handling quotations, negotiations, and follow-ups in collaboration with the Sales Support team.
  • Represent the brand at trade shows, events, and presentations in the area.
  • Monitor sales objectives, prepare regular reports, and propose corrective actions when necessary.
Requirements

Essential to Fill the Role

  • At least 5 years of experience in similar sales roles, preferably in the furniture, design, or decorative lighting industry.
  • In-depth knowledge of the Italian and Mediterranean markets; familiarity with design studios is considered a plus.
  • Degree in Architecture, Economics, Business, or Management (preferred).
  • Ability to authentically and rigorously represent a design-driven brand.
  • Fluent in Italian and English (a third language such as Spanish is appreciated).
  • Strong listening, empathy, and negotiation skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills, ability to prioritize, and keen attention to detail.
  • Proficient with tools such as CRM systems and the MS Office suite.
